IPL’S BIO-BUBBLE BURST
Indian Premier League’s season started on April 9, 2021 with the match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
While the country faced another wave of pandemic, Board of Control for Cricket in India believed the show must go on.
From seven day quarantine to tests every two days, BCCI took the appropriate steps to maintain the bio- secure environment.

The season survived 29 matches out of 60 to be finally postponed as the players started getting infected. The last match was played between Kings XI Punjab and Deccan Chargers on May 2, 2021.
Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Varun Chakravarthy tested positive before the match with Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday
