The 1,996cc in-line four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine
that powers the Volvo S90 is mated to an eight-speed
automated transmission. For improved fuel economy and
acceleration, this engine is coupled with a 48-volt mild hybrid
system. The S90 offers respectable performance both on and
off the highway with 250 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque.
The trade-off for the surefooted handling is a ride that hardly
resembles fuzzy cloth. Compared to more gently sprung
competitors, rough sections of road cause the cabin to vibrate
more. Although the steering feels substantial, it isn't as
straight or accurate as it should be, which lessens the S90's
appearance of agility.
The S90 does have a wireless charging pad, a 19-speaker from
a 1,400 watt Bowers and Wilkins surround sound system, a 12-
inch digital driver display, adaptive cruise control, pilot assist,
blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, 360-
degree cameras, rear collision warning, lane-keeping and
oncoming lane mitigation, post-impact braking, and four-zone
climate control. So this car definitely offers tons for of kit for its
price.
The cabin of the S90 is by far its most remarkable component.
Open-pore wood, authentic leather, brushed metal, and finely
grained plastics combine to create a unified and unmistakably
contemporary space. All body types should be able to fit
comfortably into the electrically adjustable front chairs
throughout the day. This is probably the most value for money
sedan under 1 Cr on sale in India currently.
